Floral Skirt

I was off today and made this skirt. Used my same pattern, New Look 6730.

The t shirt I wore today just happened to match ;) I have some dressier shirts in the drier.

Brown and Pink Swirl Print Skirt

Not knowing which one to make, I just choose the brown and pink.

Used the same pattern I've been using, New Look 6730, which I cut larger because its suppose to be for knits, but its just a skirt, so no problem. An A line skirt. I added pockets because I love them. These are kind of square,  but my cell phone fits.

Fabric for Skirts

Which one should I do first?

The white has a subtle butterfly print, but requires lining which I have.
The blue print will be vertical, therefore not a maxi skirt.
The pink and brown I couldn't pass up at JoAnns, but not on the top of my list unless that gets chosen.
The bottom is some fun print I bought because i want to do a fun print skirt. That's about as fun as I get. Of course it had to have some blue in it. I also wanted some yellow and this has some of that in it too.

It'll be my basic pattern I've used the last to times. Maybe. Most likely.
So help me decide.

One Skein Hat

Looking through a magazine and found this pattern. I changed it because it called for a size 0 (zero) hook.

Pattern: Workbasket magazine. June 1977
Hook: size G
Yarn: stash, some Red Heart Fleck, not sure of color scheme.

Crochet Hearts From Dollar Store Kit

I took a pic of what was included in the kit: very small amount of yarn, plastic crochet hook (unsure of size, maybe am F), instructions.

I changed to an aluminum hook and it didn't work,so I grabbed my extra yarn and made a heart.

In case anyone has this, here are the corrections:

Heart #1.
This one is worked I rounds.
I only counted 5 SC instead of 6 like the instructions said (and this heart I did twice). Other then that the instructions were pretty clear.

Heart #2.
This one is worked in rows.
I changed it to 2 SC on the ends. Instructions said only one until row 7, but it would be unbalanced.
On row 11 it said to rep rows 9 & 10, but really you need to follow rows 8-10.
I also SC around the edges for row 12.  I added some stitches so it lies flat. I did 3 SC on the bottom and tips.
There's a ton of ends to weave in. My suggestion is to not fasten off after Row 11, just start Row 12.

Heart #3.
This one is worked in rounds.
Only 2 rounds,  very simple and accurate instructions, even if not very clear.

Sorry if the pics aren't in order. I tried 3 times. And I rotated the one on the side, I didn't take it that way my camera app did that, but blogger kept it on its side...

St Tropez Tunic, 1st Motif

I changed the last round. The 2 DC Cl was just too many stitches, so I just did a DC instead.

Size G hook
Size 3 thread Aunt Lydia's Fashion thread.
Pattern from Interweave Crochet Summer/August 2012 issue.

I used a larger hook to make it fit me better as this was a one size fit all pattern. I may even have to change the motif assembly or something. But I think i might be OK.

Granny Style Dishcloth 2

My second dish cloth.
Same as the last one (see previous post for more info).
This one i used the colors Bright Lime and Forest Green.

Granny Style Dishcloth In Greens

Here's the first one. I have one more to weave in ends and one more to crochet. The I'll have a set. I thought it would be a good idea to have a few of these sets done and ready for gift giving. Just add a few other items in a basket with a big bow: gift.

Yarn: Peaches & Cream cotton yarn, Bright Line and Sweet Pea Stripes.
Hook: Size I
Pattern: used a granny square for the center and just SC around for the edging.

Pineapple Doily

I wanted to do another doily, so I made this one.

Thread: size 3, a little over one ball of Red Heart Fashion Crochet Thread.
Pattern: just made up. I've done so many that I can do them without a pattern. Almost

Please ignore the 2 mistakes. One was too far to correct, the other I saw when I blocked it.

Size: it's 20 inches in diameter.
