Knit Top - Sew

I had to change this because of mistakes.

The first was that a thicker knit should not use the neck instructions this pattern called for. It flipped out. So I added the lace (2 way stretch) to cover it up. I was going to do the back the same add the front overlay, but took it out. I'm going to pretend it looks like a bolero.

It's not this bright of blue, it's a dark blue. But I couldn't get the color at all, no matter what I tried, but it shoes up, so that's what matters.

Used Simplicity 1539.

Towel Trimming 2

Another hand towel trimming. I bought another towel to trim.

I cut and folded to fit my 15 inch wide towel. I didn't want to sew on the edges, so it's a little shorter.
Sewed on with a decorative stitch.

The last picture shows my first one, but you get the idea of how they look in my bathroom.

Crazy Quilt Block 5

My 5th block (yes updating my blog, have all these on Pinterest).

I didn't realize this picture was a bit blurry.  Sorry.  On my phone it looks fine.
I had 3 strips sewn together for another project, these were the left over, so I used it on here.

I wanted the non strip side to show up nice, and balance out, so I added nice embellishments and machine decorative stitching on it:

And all 4:

My 3rd block.  Again 12 inches by 2 inches. I started with two triangle pieces I had from another quilt and added on.

Another small piece of lace and my machine decorative stitches:

Crazy Quilt Block 1

I decided to just make a crazy quilt.  I have some scraps to do this with.

I found out that this works great for beginners because I have to see how pieces fit together.  Even if they don't fit perfectly, I can trim the wrong side of the square.

Here is the first square.  I finally cut it down to size, 12 inches by 12 inches, but haven't photographed it yet.  I want to embellish it some more.

Friendship Bear Square

I made a dish cloth out of this square.

Used some left over cotton yarn.

I used a size H hook.
Pattern (I'll link later)

I'd suggest doing the black center and leave a long end for embroidery.

Half-hour Hat

I used 3 stands of yarn instead of bulky yarn.  Red Heart Buff Fleck.
Size P hook.
Pattern from the 2014 Crochet calendar October 8-9.

Took me 25 minutes.

Towel Trimming

I was looking through the book, One Yard Wonders, and they had some towels trimming pattern. I tried it on this hand towel just winged it . The material is some I had bought to use for another bathroom idea that didn't work out. My bathroom I'd blue and yellow.

Just measured a section, pressed, pinned, and sewed.

Used a cross stitch decorative stitch.
